HARTFORD, Vt. — An ambulance transporting a patient drifted off an interstate and rolled into a median Saturday afternoon.
WCAX.com reported that police are investigating what happened after an Amcare Ambulance, which was transporting a patient to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, crashed on Interstate 89.
Police did not identify the patient on board the ambulance, but officials said the patient was transferred to Hartford EMS after the crash.
EMT Alexander Wright, who was in the back of the ambulance at the time of the crash, suffered minor head lacerations, VNews.com reported. An EMS provider driving the ambulance, later identified as 21-year-old Dustin Domingue, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
