LODD: Ill. EMS provider killed, 1 hurt after ambulance crash

Officials said the patient that was being transported in the ambulance also died in the crash after the driver of the ambulance lost control

BELLWOOD, Ill. — One EMS provider is dead and another is in critical condtion after an ambulance crash, according to officials.

ABC7 reported that the ambulance was transporting a patient when the driver lost control and ran into a building, according to officials.

The driver of the ambulance and the patient both died in the crash, and another EMS provider is in critical condition.

The crash is currently under investigation.
