MOSINEE, Wis. — An EMT who became paralyzed 14 years ago in an ambulance crash died Saturday.
In July 2003, former Mosinee Fire Department EMT Matt Deicher was part of a crew that was transporting a patient to the hospital when the ambulance rolled over, WAOW reported. The patient died in the crash and Deicher was paralyzed from the neck down.
Police said excessive speed, poor weather conditions and bad tires were all factors in the crash.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday for Deicher.
