ROME, Ga. — An EMT turned herself into the police after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
WRCBTV reported that Puckett EMT Crystin Keys was charged with second-degree homicide by vehicle and failure to maintain a single lane after the ambulance she was driving crashed, killing patient Tony Patterson.
Keys is five weeks pregnant. Her attorney said she was suffering from extreme exhaustion and was avoiding caffeine to keep her baby healthy. She sustained multiple injuries in the crash.
Keys was booked and released on bail.
