KALAMAZOO, Mich. — An ambulance transporting a critical patient collided with another vehicle at an intersection on Sunday night while en route to the hospital.
According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, the ambulance’s lights and siren were activated when the ambulance entered the intersection. A car drove into the ambulance’s path, causing the collision, woodtv.com reported.
A second ambulance crew responded to transport the critical patient from the first rig to the hospital. A third ambulance crew followed up to treat those injured at the crash scene, CBS 3 reported.
All injuries were considered non-life-threatening, KDPS reported. An investigation of the incident is ongoing.
