PASADENA, Texas — Four people are injured after an ambulance and a dump truck collided in an intersection Friday afternoon.
The dump truck, carrying concrete rubble, overturned and the truck’s bed crushed the passenger side of the driver compartment of the ambulance. The ambulance was transporting a patient at the time of the collision with its lights and sirens activated, reported the Pasadena Citizen.
The condition of the ambulance patient, paramedic, driver of the ambulance, and the dump truck driver is unknown, but all four people were transported to the hospital.
A Life Flight helicopter transported one of the four people.
Police, investigating the collision, told ABC 13 that the dump truck swerved, causing it to tip over and spill its load of concrete rubble onto the roadway.
