SAN ANTONIO — Five people, including two EMS providers and a patient, were injured in a crash between a car and a San Antonio ambulance on Monday.
San Antonio police say the ambulance crew was transporting a patient to the hospital at about 2:30 a.m. when a car turned at an intersection, striking the rig, according to KSAT. The impact caused the rig to go over a median and then crash into a wrought iron fence, officials said.
The two EMS providers, the patient and two people from the car were transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. Police are investigating whether the driver of the car was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
