2 Mo. EMS providers seriously injured in ambulance crash

EMT Adam Hilse and Derone Duncan were transported to the hospital after the incident

PERRY COUNTY, Mo. — Two EMS providers are in serious condition after an ambulance collided with a semi-truck Tuesday night.

KFVS12.com reported that John Chimenti was driving an ambulance when it collided with a semi-truck driven by Edwin Gathecha, according to a traffic report.

EMT Adam Hilse and his colleague Derone Duncan were both seriously injured. Hilse was transported to the hospital by ambulance, while Duncan was taken by helicopter.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for Hilse’s medical expenses.
