WALTERBORO, S.C. — Two firefighter-paramedics were hurt after a large moving van rear-ended an ambulance Tuesday.
The Press and Standard reported that two emergency units were responding to a crash and were hit when the moving van lost control and crashed into the ambulance, sending it into the ditch.
The other emergency unit requested additional ambulances and the injured firefighter-paramedics exited the unit to make sure the injured people in the van were OK.
The ambulance was totaled in the crash, and the firefighter-paramedics and van occupants were transported to the hospital for treatment.
