PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Two people were airlifted following an ambulance crash in Maryland on Saturday.
Firefighters responded to the scene where a Prince Frederick Rescue Squad ambulance had crashed into a utility pole and a tree, and found two people trapped inside the rig, according to South Maryland News Net.
The two victims were extricated in under 20 minutes and transported to trauma centers by Maryland State Police helicopters. Officials did not confirm whether the two injured people were paramedics or EMTs but TheBayNet.com reports that the ambulance was out on a call at the time of the crash.
