SAN BENITO, Texas — Residents of a local RV park plan to pack today’s city commission meeting to protest an ambulance company that arrived late and unprepared to help a woman who died in a mobile home park last month, a group leader said.

About 30 residents of Fun N Sun RV Resort will complain to city commissioners about Pharr-based Pro-Medic EMS service, Peggy Kerley, a park resident who will speak for the group at a meeting, said.

“We’re really fed up,” Kerley said Monday. An ambulance crew was about 20 minutes late when it arrived without a defibulator and oxygen tank to help Judy McDonough, 66, a resident who died on the park’s dance floor about three weeks ago, Kerley said.
