SALT LAKE CITY — Authorities say two adults and three children are injured after their plane crashed in central Utah.

The Sanpete County Sheriff’s office says the crash occurred about 1 p.m. Saturday, after the pilot reported that the aircraft had stalled and would not restart.

The small plane came down at an angle, nose-first into a field, but intact near Mt. Pleasant, about 60 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Sgt. Greg Peterson says that four of the victims were flown to Sanpete Valley Hospital and the pilot was transported by ambulance. No one else was aboard.

The hospital says four were transported to other hospitals with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The fifth person was treated for minor injuries and released.

Authorities have not released any names.
