NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard strapped a 48-year-old woman to a stretcher and hoisted her onto a medical helicopter when she was found unconscious on the Carnival Dream cruise ship Saturday.
She reportedly had kidney problem, and when the video was taken she was still unconscious with a high blood sugar level, The Times-Picayune reports.
The ship was 23 miles south of Southwest Pass on the Mississippi River, and normally docks in New Orleans.
The Coast Guard airlifted her to Ochsner Baptist Medical Center, where she was in stable condition Saturday.
