KALAMAZOO, Mich. — In a routine scene at a Kalamazoo gas station, motorcyclists were parked, getting ready to head back onto the road on a sunny afternoon.

Within seconds, the peaceful scene turned violent. An SUV went barreling through the people, vehicles and a gas pump, leaving destruction in its path on Wednesday, March 19, at 3908 S. Westnedge Ave.

Seven people were injured, KDPS said initially, and two of them were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The two have since been released from the hospital, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Spokesman Zach Hamelton said on Wednesday, April 16.

One of the injured people is now in physical rehabilitation, Hamelton said.
