KHARKIV, Ukraine — A Ukrainian paramedic can be seen in a Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty video of Ukrainian EMS providers and others on Sunday staying with a wounded civilian as Russian forces were shelling in Kharkiv.
With at least one other wounded person in view and the wounded woman at his side, the medic yells, “Stay on the ground! Don’t get up! Keep lying down!”
EMS providers, soldiers and firefighters responded during the bombardment in Kharkiv, which is in eastern Ukraine.
The woman, who had been hit by shrapnel, was placed on a gurney.
At least five people were killed in the city that day.
