Tenn. paramedic charged with theft, drug possession, official misconduct

A former Jefferson County paramedic was indicted following a criminal probe into the theft of narcotics stored in ambulances

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A former paramedic was indicted on several charges, including theft, drug possession and official misconduct.

Former Jefferson County EMS Paramedic Bobbie McCracken was indicted following a criminal probe initiated by Director Brad Phillips into the theft of narcotics stored in ambulances, WVLT reported.

McCracken was indicted on charges of theft less than $1,000, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and official misconduct.

An investigation into the theft is ongoing.
