PHILADELPHIA — The National EMS Management Association (NEMSMA) has announced the passing of Philadelphia Fire Department Deputy Chief, EMS Operations (ret.) Mike Touchstone.
Touchstone’s role in EMS extended beyond Philadelphia and included being a NEMSMA past president and president of the board of directors. He was also the regional director of the Philadelphia Regional Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Touchstone was a contract instructor at the National Fire Academy, a regular presenter at state and regional EMS conferences, and an EMS1.com columnist with a focus on prehospital professional development.
