MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Paramedic and firefighter Michael Golden Jr., 32, from York, Pa., died Wednesday evening in a vehicle crash.

Golden was driving a Volkswagen Jetta on a two-way street when reportedly he crossed the center line, striking a Jeep Wrangler in a head-on collision, the Evening Sun reported.

Golden, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, died of multiple blunt-force trauma at the scene, according to the coroner.

The other driver, whose identity was not disclosed, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

First responders were called in for a crash with ejection and fire, the York Dispatch reported.

Golden was a paramedic with Hanover Hospitals Medic 46, Pa., and a firefighter with Anne Arundel County Fire Department, Md. His family has been notified.
