NEW MADISON, Ohio — A Tri-Village Rescue Services employee was fired from her job after posting a Facebook status update with racial slurs and derogatory language, said Eric Burns, EMS chief.

“The comments made on social media in no way reflect the beliefs and mission of Tri-Village Rescue,” said Burns, Tri-Village Rescue’s chief of emergency medical services, in a prepared statement Wednesday.

Burns and the Board of Trustees and Administration of the rescue services started an investigation of the employee, identified as Debbie North, after receiving complaints Tuesday about the post on her Facebook page.
