UK paramedic shames driver blocking ER entrance on Twitter

Paramedic Rob Moore said the parked vehicle could have seriously delayed patients from receiving care

BIRMINGHAM, England — What should you do when a driver parks in the emergency entrance to a hospital? Tweet about it.

Paramedic Rob Moore called out an “inconsiderate” driver that blocked a hospital entrance last week on Twitter. Moore shared the photo and wrote, “Inconsiderate parking in front of the ambulance doors at the emergency department might delay a patient getting the help they need.”

Moore said the parked vehicle could have delayed patients from receiving care or prevented a fire engine from entering the area.

“Thankfully it didn’t delay any patients, but had the potential to cause ambulances to have to park further away from the doors and round the corner from the ambulance bay,” Moore told the Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer.

Officials urge civilians to park their vehicles in designated hospital areas.
