FAULKNER COUNTY, Ark. — Volunteers with the Faulkner County Rescue Squad will have its annual fundraiser beginning Monday.

This year’s funds will be used for equipment, Commander Keith Hillman said.

“We need to do some upgrades on our water rescue equipment,” he said. “We’ve done the fundraiser for the past four years.”

Mike Harwood from MLC Marketing will be going door to door throughout the county beginning Monday to offer an 11X14 family portrait for $30, which will go toward getting the rescue squad equipment.

Hillman said the fundraiser would go on for about two and half months.

The squad is composed of men and women who volunteer their time and skills to assist Faulkner County. They are paramedics, EMTs, first responders, registered nurses and other volunteers.

They have two equipment stations located in the county — near Central Fire Station in Conway and at the Office of Emergency Management on Acklin Gap Road.

“We make it our goal to continue training to help out where and when we are needed,” Hillman said.

If anyone wants to make a donation without doing the portrait, they can contact Hillman at 501-416-6888.

“We would love to see 100% participation in this worthwhile project,” he said.
