YELL COUNTY, Ark. — A former EMS director and his wife were arrested after being accused of defrauding the Yell County EMS department of nearly $700,000.
Sidney Ward, 69, and Donna Ward, 42, face theft and other charges after an audit found that about $700,000 were missing from the EMS department’s funds, Arkansas Matters reported.
Donna Ward is also accused of computer fraud, unlawful acts regarding computers and tampering with physical evidence.
They are both scheduled to appear for a hearing Feb. 4.
