GROVETON, Texas — An EMS agency is back in service after its station and equipment, as well as the home of the agency owner, were destroyed in a fire.
KTRE reported that Groveton EMS is now “back to full service” as of July 4, despite losing the station and the home of owner David Robison in June.
Robison, who suffered second-degree burns while saving his family from the fire, said donations of money and supplies have helped the EMS agency get back to serving the community.
The Groveton Fire Department said that, while the investigation into the fire is still underway, it was likely caused by an electrical issue.
“We are the luckiest people in the world because of our friends and community. We are so honored to serve you,” The agency said in a Facebook post.
