FDNY unveils EMS Week 2015 poster

The poster celebrates EMS providers and firefighters working together

NEW YORK — The FDNY released this year’s poster to celebrate EMS Week, a national recognition of EMS providers that begins on Sunday, May 17.

Developed around the 2015 EMS Week theme of “EMS Strong,” the “FDNY Strong” poster features members of FDNY from locations throughout the five boroughs – two EMTs, two paramedics, an EMS captain and four firefighters – working together to remove an injured patient from a serious, life-threatening situation. The photo, from a staged incident, vividly shows the lengths FDNY members go to, as well as the tremendous effort and teamwork it takes to accomplish the department’s life-saving mission.

The poster is intended to raise awareness about the work of FDNY’s EMS providers and will be displayed in 350 kiosks across the city.
