This week, EMS providers and other first responders around the country celebrated EMS Week 2019 and it’s latest slogan, “Beyond the Call.” EMS1 Columnist and Inside EMS podcast co-host Kelly Grayson wrote about how this year’s slogan truly captured what it means to work within the industry, and how to encourage those who come in contact with EMS providers to better support their efforts to keep the community safe.
At the other end of the spectrum, EMS1 contributor Nancy Magee wrote an article describing the work EMS providers do as “more than just a hashtag.”
All in all, EMS Week was created to encourage appreciation in the community for those who work in the EMS industry, and to recognize the dedication, commitment and impact of first responders to public safety and public health.
