NEW YORK — Paramedics needed a high-angle rescue assist from FDNY firefighters to remove a sick, obese woman from her second-story apartment Friday.
The woman, too large to move through her front door, was lowered to the ground in a cargo net with a firefighter attendant, the NY Daily News reported.
The FDNY confirmed that a “larger patient” was extricated from the building, but would not estimate the patient’s weight.
