SAN FRANCISCO — CrowdRx has been chosen to provide emergency medical services to Burning Man attendees who require care at facility outside of festival grounds.
The week-long event from Aug. 30 - Sept. 7, 2015, draws more than 70,000 people to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.
“CrowdRx has an excellent reputation for providing medical support for large public events across the country including Coachella, Bonnaroo,” said Burning Man CEO Marian Goodell. “We’re looking forward to working with them now and into the future as Burning Man evolves and grows.”
Burning Man provides advanced life support services at a centralized clinic as well as basic first aid at multiple locations around Black Rock City. Organizers can also transport participants by ambulance or air to area hospitals.
“Burning Man is a premier event with an outstanding level of service to its participants,” said CrowdRx President Carl Monzo. “We have decades of experience in live event medical care at large gatherings around the country and are excited to bring those skills to Burning Man.”
Humboldt General Hospital had provided medical services at Burning Man since 2011; a five-year contract was severed in March.
