South Central Ambulance trust hiring to fill shortage of 220 paramedics and 70 emergency care assistants

KENT, United Kingdom — One of Britain’s biggest ambulance services is desperately trying to recruit paramedics from Poland to fill more than 200 posts.

South Central Ambulance, which covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire, has a shortage of staff and has undertaken a recruitment drive in Poland.

The emergency service said it has 220 paramedic and technician vacancies and 70 emergency care assistants posts to fill.
