MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — The National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) and Page, Wolfberg & Wirth (PWW) have published a new HIPAA education resource for EMS agencies.

The organizations have made available a free downloadable poster/pamphlet that can be posted and distributed at EMS stations to remind providers of key do's and don'ts when it comes to patient privacy.

"This resource is the 'HIPAA Workplace Poster' for EMS agencies. We hope every service will post this at their stations," said Ryan Stark, a PWW managing partner and HIPAA expert, in a statement.

The poster can be downloaded for free from the PWW website.
