Osage County E9-1-1 Center Implements APCO EMD

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Osage County E9-1-1 Center in Linn, Mo. has become the newest Communications Center in the country to implement the APCO Institute Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Program.

With a staff of 12 Telecommunicators, Osage County E9-1-1 provides EMD services for the Osage Community, Marie’s Osage and Ozark Central Ambulance Districts in Missouri.

The APCO Institute EMD Program, based on EMD Guidecards and software, is a systematic way to manage emergency medical services (EMS) resources in an organized and effective manner and to provide medical assistance to callers, when needed, until medically trained field response units arrive at the scene.

“The APCO Institute welcomes Osage County E9-1-1 as an EMD User agency and looks forward to working with their staff to provide EMD services to their community,” APCO Institute Director Candice Solie said.
