CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — You might say Corpus Christi police put an emergency brake on a situation Monday after a woman called to request an ambulance 35 times without having an emergency.
Police arrested the 57-year-old woman after receiving the 35th call of the day about 11:20 p.m. from a motel room at the Valley Motel, located at 5300 Leopard Street, according to a police news release. Police arrived at the motel and found “nothing wrong,” the release states.
“Officers finally put a stop to the calls by arresting the woman,” the release states.
Officers arrested the woman on suspicion of abuse of 911, a Class B misdemeanor charge.
The Caller-Times typically doesn’t name individuals charged with misdemeanors.
