PRESS RELEASE

VAN WERT, Ohio — Crestline Ambulances, a trusted manufacturer of practical, fleet-focused emergency vehicles with more than 50 years of industry experience, will return to FDIC International in Indianapolis, Indiana from April 23–25, 2026, giving fire and EMS leaders a first look at its newest fleet-focused model — the CCL 166 Type III. Visit Booth #5574 to connect with product specialists and step inside the latest addition to Crestline’s proven lineup.

FDIC attendees will have the opportunity to step inside the CCL 166 Type III, first introduced at EMS World in October and recognized as a finalist in the 2025 EMS World Innovation Awards. Displayed in partnership with Crestline’s authorized dealer partner, Autotronics, the new ambulance expands on the proven performance of the CCL 150 platform while introducing meaningful improvements designed around how EMS crews work every day.

“Fleet managers succeed when their units are stocked, staffed, and ready to respond — and the CCL 166 is built to support exactly that,” said Kris Turner, U.S. Channel Development Director for Crestline. “Inspired by the trusted CCL 150 platform, the all-new CCL 166 delivers 16 inches more of working space and 25% more ALS storage—all while retaining the same electrical harnessing system technicians already know, so fleets transition seamlessly and vehicles stay in service.”

Backed by 50 years of industry experience and built on eight years of proven performance, the new CCL 166 takes the next step forward with a significantly expanded patient compartment designed to give crews the working room they need during critical care. The redesigned rear action area adds a new storage drawer option and a wider squad bench, improving comfort without compromising access to essential equipment.

The ambulance also introduces increased cabinetry and compartment volume, delivering up to 25% more ALS storage in a Type III configuration. This added capacity helps departments carry essential equipment more efficiently, reducing clutter and improving accessibility during high-pressure calls.

Additional crew-focused upgrades include a three-inch increase in cab recline, enhanced bulkhead talk-through with double seals for quieter operation, and an upgraded HVAC system with 20% improved cooling performance. With eight fan speed settings, crews gain smoother climate control adjustments, an important benefit during long shifts and extreme weather conditions.

While the CCL 166 Type III introduces several enhancements, it retains the same electrical harnessing system used in the CCL 150—helping fleets maintain standardized parts, simplified technician training, and predictable maintenance procedures across units. Like all Crestline ambulances, the CCL 166 delivers long-term value through practical features including aluminum extruded body construction, CrestCoat™ powder coating technology with a Lifetime Paint Warranty, aluminum cabinetry, flush mount windows, aerodynamic 4-inch radius corners, dual entry steps, and a rear bumper design that helps minimize module damage during impact.

Don’t miss your chance to tour the CCL 166 Type III at Booth #5574—explore additional Crestline vehicles, connect with the team, and enter booth giveaways throughout the show.
