PRESS RELEASE

VAN WERT, Ohio — Demers Ambulances, an innovation-driven ambulance manufacturer known for its thought leadership, is celebrating National EMS Week (May 17–23, 2026) by launching a new daily social media giveaway series designed to recognize and reward individual EMS professionals across the United States. Taking place Monday through Friday, the initiative encourages first responders to engage with daily poll questions—offering a direct voice into what matters most in the field—for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card, with winners selected and announced each day.

This year’s EMS Week theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” reflects the shared responsibility of advancing patient care, not only through clinical excellence, but through collaboration, innovation, and listening to the people delivering that care.

Building on this theme, Demers’ updated giveaway approach shifts from a single department-wide prize to multiple individual recognitions—allowing the manufacturer to hear from and give back to more first responders. Participants can enter by engaging with Demers’ official social media posts each day. Winners will be randomly selected and announced the following day.

“EMS Week is about recognizing the real impact clinicians make every single day—often in ways that go unseen,” said Kris Turner, U.S. Channel Development Director for Demers. “At Demers, we’re focused on improving outcomes not only through innovation and intentional design, but by supporting the people who rely on our ambulances in the field. This initiative allows us to connect directly with those individuals and give back in a meaningful way.”

Each year, EMS Week recognizes the dedication of clinicians who deliver lifesaving care in high-pressure moments—often defined not just by clinical success, but by compassion, trust, and humanity. From stabilizing a child in distress to supporting families in critical moments, these interactions shape outcomes that extend far beyond vital signs.

Today’s EMS professionals are equipped with advanced tools and evolving care models delivering measurable improvements before patients even reach the hospital. Demers remains committed to supporting these advancements through thoughtfully engineered, ergonomic, and feature-rich ambulances designed with the crew in mind.
