NEW YORK — A stray bullet struck an ambulance, injuring an elderly patient inside.
Home security footage captured two men involved in a Brooklyn chase, CBSNewYork reports.
One man is seen running along the street, with another following close behind with what appears to be a gun. Police say the man fired several times, and one of the bullets went through the windshield of an ambulance.
The 71-year-old woman inside suffered a wound that appeared to be a gash caused by either a bullet fragment or broken glass, witnesses told CBS.
She was hospitalized and is expected to make a full recovery. Police questioned a person of interest in the incident and are looking for a second suspect.
