OMAHA, Neb. — The woman who was inside an ambulance when an Omaha firefighter was wounded by gunfire Monday was connected to a stolen vehicle, and authorities question whether the epileptic seizure she said she experienced was legitimate, a preliminary investigation suggests.
Justine Dubois, 24, may have been fueling a stolen vehicle at a gas station in the minutes before police and firefighters encountered her, authorities said. No further details were being made available Tuesday night.
Police have not identified the victim, but he is Brock Borhart, according to sources with knowledge of the case.
