Repurposed ambulance used to sell marijuana candy

Emergency Marijuana Service owns 15 trucks for selling marijuana lollipops across the US

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — For Weed World Candies, EMS stands for Emergency Marijuana Service. The green-colored “ambulance” sells marijuana lollipops, with or without THC, depending on state laws.

The company, which supports the legalization of marijuana across the country, owns 15 trucks. “It’s not just about selling a product. It’s about educating,” employee Pete Marrero told 13News Now.

In Virginia, where any form of cannabis is illegal, the lollipops only contain hemp. They do not have THC or CBD as ingredients.

CBD is the compound in marijuana associated with medical use, while THC is the psychoactive compound that gives users a high.

“They taste good,” said Ralph Disney, a customer in Virginia Beach. “They make you a little mellow. That’s it.”

The Virginia Senate passed a bill in February allowing epilepsy patients to use marijuana oils to alleviate seizures.
