MONROE, La. — A man was hospitalized after he rammed into the back of an ambulance while high on PCP outside an emergency room Saturday evening.

Officials said two EMS providers were in the ambulance at the time of the crash; they  saw the vehicle coming before it hit them. One suffered minor injuries, reported Myarklamiss.com.

Deatrice Jones, 31, faces charges of DWI, battery of an officer and resisting arrest.

“It was very unique, you don’t see that very often. If that truck wasn’t there, it could be a lot worse than it was,” AMR Supervisor Ryan Brown said. “You know, run into the hospital, and possibly injure somebody that’s located in the hospital."
