DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — A “super bike” ambulance was debuted at a health conference and is set to hit the streets of Dubai soon.

Dubai Corporation of Ambulance Services member Mohammad Mohsin Al Qafli told Gulf News that the Polaris bike can run at speeds of 136 mph and will be used by advanced paramedics to reach a victim as fast as possible.

“The Foundation is in a race against time to reach the sick and wounded, so it launched the idea of sports bike that is characterized by its speed, adding that these bikes will shorten the response time to just four minutes,” DCAS executive director Khalifa Bin Dray said.

Bin Dray described it as “the world’s most luxurious ambulance with all the smart devices and artificial intelligence.”

“The bike will be equipped by a trailer which will have all medicines, and oxygen and resuscitation equipment,” Al Qafli added.

Alarabiya.net said with the addition, Dubai now has 10 luxury ambulances, including six cars and four bikes.

Bin Dray said the luxury bike ambulances will be deployed to tourist areas.
