UNITED KINGDOM — A London ambulance on its way to an emergency was forced to swerve and stop when fireworks were set off in its direction.

The rig had its blue lights on when the fireworks were launched at it during the annual Bonfire Night festival on Nov. 5, according to the London Ambulance Service.

The service tweeted that there were no patients in the ambulance at the time of the incident, but wrote “putting our crews in danger is unacceptable.”

“We can’t believe we have to say this, but aiming fireworks at our ambulances is #NotPartOfTheJob,” the tweet read.
