GLENDALE, Ariz. — Sports fans falling ill or getting injured during a game can now be rescued by the new “mini ambulance.”
Council approved the purchase of the $56,000 Polaris Ranger 4x4 vehicle at the Aug. 14 council meeting.
“The mini ambulance will be used for large, city-wide events throughout the city such as Glendale’s signature festivals and events, mega-events occurring in the Sports and Entertainment District and any other large city-wide events to enable paramedics to reach patients in large crowds,” Fire Chief Mark Burdick said.
