PulsePoint offering prizes for registering AEDs

During Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month, the nonprofit is gathering AED location data for its registry

PLEASANTON, Calif. — The nonprofit PulsePoint Foundation is rewarding communities for identifying and registering AEDs in October, which is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month.

Each AED registered this month will gain the entrant a chance to win one of 10 $500 Amazon gift cards. The community that collectively registers the highest number of AEDs will win $5,000 to purchase new AEDs from PulsePoint.

The AEDs must be registered through the free PulsePoint AED app or online at AED.new.

All registered AEDs will be added to the PulsePoint AED Registry, which first responders and members of the public can use when emergencies happen.
