Tax cuts force Ind. town to trim EMS jobs

BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- Declining tax revenue is being blamed for pending cuts in public safety workers in Brownsburg.

Property tax cuts and decreases in overall funding stemming from a poor economy have led town officials to believe there is nowhere else to cut, 6News’ Rick Hightower reported.

Town officials said in a meeting Tuesday that they had already made several cuts to meet budget constraints and that trimming people is the only remaining alternative.
