LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An emergency medical technician who was on methadone while driving an ambulance pleaded guilty to manslaughter Thursday for a 2008 wreck in which a patient was killed.
Tammy Renee Brewer, who had been charged with murder, agreed to a 10-year prison sentence.
She was transporting Vickie Whobrey, 54, to Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital at 1850 Bluegrass Ave. in southwestern Louisville when the crash occurred April 3, 2008.
