After a month of controversy surrounding Capt. Danny Morgan and Supervisor Tracey Helms, members of Benson EMS finally pulled the plug on the two men.
In a special meeting Wednesday night, the volunteer membership voted to remove Mr. Morgan from his position as captain and replace him with former 3rd Lt. Greta Lewis.
According to Capt. Lewis, Mr. Helms was voted out of his elected office of first lieutenant and replaced with Len Starling, who was formerly in the second lieutenant position. ...
