TORRINGTON, Conn. — A city man was in police custody after allegedly biting an EMT during an emergency room brawl early Friday morning.
Police say 24-four-year-old Christopher Rafferty, of 119 Johnson St., started a fight with hospital personnel in the emergency room of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital at about 1:25 a.m. on Dec. 4.
Rafferty reportedly struggled with hospital security and a member of Campion Ambulance. During the fight, Rafferty bit the ear of a Campion Ambulance employee. Police say the suspect was a patient at the hospital at the time.
