ALBUQUERQUE — A paramedic was honored for his heroic off-duty actions after using an app to locate a heart attack victim.
KRQE reported that Albuquerque Fire Department paramedic David Zamora was shopping with his wife when he was notified of the victim with the PulsePoint app, which alerts users if someone needs medical attention nearby.
Zamora was honored for treating the patient, but added that his wife deserved some recognition as well.
“This came right at the end where I promised her we would be home. She could see that it was nagging on me and she said, ‘Turn around, let’s go check.’”
