SPRING, Texas — A Texas woman was arrested Monday for allegedly assaulting an EMS provider after a vehicle crash.

Harris County Constable Precinct 4 officials reported that Rhea Lane, 31, was “combative and uncooperative” when deputies arrived at the crash scene. While EMS personnel were rendering aid to those injured in the crash, Lane allegedly spit on one of the EMS providers and assaulted them, authorities said.

Lane was arrested and was found to have an open warrant from another county. Officials also said that she was the driver at fault in the vehicle crash.

“Rhea Lane was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Assault on a Public Servant and Harassment of a Public Servant. Her bond and court information have not been set at this time,” Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said in a statement.
