NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. — A woman was arrested in New York on Saturday after allegedly kicking a paramedic and a police officer and spitting on several other first responders and bystanders, officials said.
Police responded to a Walmart in Nassau County where the woman was reportedly involved in a verbal confrontation with an employee before removing her shirt and walking out of the store, according to the Daily Voice.
Nassau County police officers attempted to take the woman into custody and place her in a police department ambulance for treatment when she allegedly kicked an officer in the neck and kicked a paramedic in the chest, officials said.
The police officer sustained contusions from the kick and the paramedic suffered bruising, according to police. The woman is also accused of spitting in the faces of several bystanders and other police officers at the scene.
The suspect, Cindy Dosette, 39, was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree assault.
