'ISIS member' threatens medics with knife
Police arrested the man before he could hurt anyone and said he was emotionally disturbed
NEW YORK — A man claiming to be affiliated with ISIS threatened paramedics with a knife Sunday in Brooklyn.
The New York Daily News reported Jancer Abreu, 23, waved a butterfly knife and repeatedly shouted, "I am ISIS," before police arrested him.
Officials described Abreu as emotionally disturbed and said he did not appear to be actually affiliated with ISIS.
No one was injured during the incident.
