OTTAWA, Ontario — A paramedic student on his way to school put his skills to the test recently when he came across a multi-vehicle crash and stopped to render aid.

Josh Seely, 21, arrived on the scene before first responders; two people were injured in the three-vehicle crash.

“I was a Good Samaritan, thought I would stop to make sure everyone [was] okay,” Seely told CTV Ottawa.

Seely, who is completing a two-year paramedic program, administered basic first aid until, “the paramedics came and did the real work.”

Following the incident, Seely said it confirmed EMS was the right career path for him.
